Ryan Anthony Nabors, age 28 was killed in the early morning hours of July 4, 2025 in Minneapolis. Riding an electric scooter along Dupont Avenue North at about 2:35 a.m., he and another man heard gunfire. Nabors collapsed from gunshot wounds, and was transported by emergency personnel to North Memorial Health Hospital, where he later died.
His family quickly identified him, describing him as a devoted father and beloved son, leaving behind his children Anora, Roderick, and Demarcus, and
a large network of siblings and relatives. The community rallied in grief, and a fundraising campaign was started to defray expenses tied to his death.
Minneapolis police have indicated that no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. Investigators were working to determine whether the act was targeted or random, and appealed to the public for information. As of the available reports, there is no named suspect or suspects.
