Shamar Laquan Simms, a 21-year-old resident of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, tragically lost his life to gun violence on June 9, 2023, in Minneapolis. The incident occurred late Friday night in the Cleveland neighborhood of north Minneapolis, specifically in the 3600 block of Penn Avenue North.
