Cody Pollard, a 27-year-old Black man, was killed on Father's Day, June 21, 2020, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Initial reports incorrectly linked his death to a mass shooting in the city's Uptown neighborhood that injured 11 people. However, a few days later, Minneapolis police clarified that Pollard was the victim of a separate shooting incident that occurred in downtown Minneapolis, near 7th Street North and 1st Avenue North.
