In a quiet home in North Philadelphia, the life of 28-year-old Omar Rodriguez was brought to a violent and sudden end. On the night of April 9, 2014, Rodriguez was inside a residence on the 5000 block of F Street with another man when gunfire erupted. When police arrived at the scene just before midnight, they found Rodriguez had been fatally shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The other man who was shot was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
