On a Tuesday evening in Philadelphia, the life of 32-year-old Edwin Cartagena was cut short by gunfire. The shooting occurred on September 13, 2016, at approximately 5:22 p.m. on the 2900 block of North Howard Street, the same block where Cartagena lived. A Hispanic male, Cartagena was rushed to Episcopal Hospital following the incident, but medical efforts were unable to save him, and he died that evening.
