On September 26, 2017, Jai Custus, a 16-year-old Black male, was tragically killed in a quadruple shooting in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, PA. The incident occurred around 8:40 p.m. on the 100 block of East Pastorius Street. Custus was shot in the back and later pronounced dead at Albert Einstein Medical Center. Three other victims, including a 19-year-old Black male, a 13-year-old Black female, and an 18-year-old Black male, were also injured but survived.
