On the evening of August 16, 2024, at approximately 7:36 p.m., Philadelphia Police officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 700 block of East Olney Avenue, near Tacony Creek Park. Upon arrival, they discovered 32-year-old Brasheed H. Cook suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to Jefferson Einstein Hospital, where, despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.
