On the evening of August 16, 2024, 32-year-old Brasheed H. Cook, a male resident of Philadelphia, was taking one of his customary walks near Tacony Creek Park. At approximately 7:36 p.m., in the 700 block of East Olney Avenue, the sound of as many as five gunshots shattered the evening calm.
