On the evening of August 16, 2024, 32-year-old Brasheed H. Cook, a male resident of Philadelphia, was taking one of his customary walks near Tacony Creek Park. At approximately 7:36 p.m., in the 700 block of East Olney Avenue, the sound of as many as five gunshots shattered the evening calm. When Philadelphia Police officers arrived at the scene, they found Cook suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
