On April 6, 2021, Wilfredo Couvertier, a 43-year-old man from Philadelphia, PA, was fatally shot in the chest in the Kensington section of the city. The incident occurred around 1:02 p.m. when police responded to reports of a person with a gun in the 800 block of East Madison Street. Despite efforts by medical personnel to save his life, Couvertier was pronounced dead at Episcopal Hospital at 1:22 p.m.
