On August 12, 2023, at approximately 1:53 p.m., Philadelphia Police officers responded to a shooting incident in the 5100 block of Belfield Avenue in the East Germantown neighborhood. Upon arrival, they discovered 27-year-old Raymond Scott, a resident of the city's Juniata Park neighborhood, suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper chest. Officers immediately transported him to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 2:25 p.m.
