Saleem Shariff Pointer, a 30-year-old male of African American ethnicity, tragically lost his life in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on September 18, 2021. At approximately 9:42 p.m., Philadelphia Police officers responded to a call at the 2500 block of West Montgomery Avenue. Upon arrival, they found Saleem suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his torso. Despite immediate medical attention, Saleem succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
