On the evening of July 24, 2020, a 19-year-old Black male named Tejan Jenkins was shot and killed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The incident occurred around 9:57 p.m. on the 800 block of North 39th Street. When Philadelphia Police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Jenkins unresponsive in the street with a gunshot wound.
