On May 21, 2023, at approximately 7:59 a.m., Philadelphia Police responded to reports of gunfire on the 6400 block of Farnsworth Street. Upon arrival, they learned that 37-year-old Demetrius Lamont Dunston had been transported to Nazareth Hospital by private vehicle after sustaining gunshot wounds. Due to the severity of his injuries, Dunston was airlifted to Temple University Hospital for advanced medical treatment. Despite the medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.
