On July 3, 2023, 59-year-old Ralph Moralis was tragically killed in a mass shooting in Philadelphia's Kingsessing neighborhood. The incident, which began around 8:30 p.m., involved a gunman wearing body armor and armed with an AR-15-style rifle and a handgun. The assailant opened fire indiscriminately at individuals on the street and in vehicles, resulting in five fatalities, including Moralis, and injuries to several others.
