On a warm Saturday evening in Philadelphia, on July 26, 2025, a birthday celebration tragically turned into a scene of violence. Friends and coworkers had gathered on the 1900 block of West Hunting Park Avenue for a barbecue when an argument between two men escalated. The dispute quickly became physical and then erupted in gunfire, leading to the death of 29-year-old Nyfik Johnson, a Black male.
