On April 27, 2023, at approximately 6:22 p.m., 16-year-old Jaseem Thomas was shot multiple times, including wounds to his head and body, on the 2200 block of South 67th Street in Southwest Philadelphia. Responding officers transported him to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he remained in critical condition until succumbing to his injuries on May 1, 2023.
