Edward Atkinson, a 36-year-old White male, was killed on the night of January 13, 2016, after police were called to West Philadelphia. Around 8:08 p.m., Philadelphia Police officers responded to the 300 block of North Gross Street, where they found Atkinson behind a retail pharmacy suffering from multiple stab wounds. Another report placed the scene along the 300 block of North 63rd Street, identifying it as a West Philadelphia stabbing.
