Kairo Lessa Neves

In the summer of 2023, the life of a young Brazilian man, Kairo Lessa Neves, was cut tragically short on the streets of Northeast Philadelphia. At 19 years old, Kairo, who had moved to the United States from Contagem, Brazil, a little over a year prior, was fatally shot in the head on the evening of August 6th. He resided on the 6900 block of Revere Street and had his mother and a younger brother.
