On August 6, 2023, 19-year-old Kairo Lessa-Neves was fatally shot in Northeast Philadelphia. The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. on the 6600 block of Bustleton Avenue, where officers found Lessa-Neves with a gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to Einstein Medical Center but succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
