Rymeek Martin, a 21-year-old Black man, was tragically shot and killed on September 24, 2020, inside Spin Cycle Coin Laundry on the 5600 block of Vine Street in West Philadelphia. Responding officers found him lying in front of a vending machine with a gunshot wound to the back of his head. He was rushed to Penn-Presbyterian Hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
