In the summer of 1996, life for Cheryl Mason, a 39-year-old Caucasian woman from Grand Rapids, Michigan, had taken a difficult turn. Once a champion roller skater in her teenage years and a mother to six children, she found herself battling a cocaine addiction that led her into the dangerous world of sex work. Despite her struggles, she remained connected to her family, making her absence on her daughter's birthday a significant cause for alarm. She was last seen on August 6, 1996.
