On July 31, 1997, the remains of Stephanie Judson, age 31, were discovered at a roadside park east of Ada, Michigan. Judson, originally from Benton Harbor, had moved to Grand Rapids in the late 1980s. Her remains were discovered by a maintenance worker, and her death was immediately ruled a homicide.
