A young woman is found dead less then five months after she is last seen.
Michelle Becker, 36, was last seen on April 27, 1996, working near Division and Canton SW, a known area for sex work in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Becker had struggled with cocaine addiction, and her involvement in sex work was likely a result of her efforts to maintain her habit. On August 9, 1996, her partially clothed body was discovered by a city worker. Due to the level of decomposition, an autopsy could not establish a precise cause of death.
