Black/African American. Fifteen-year-old Myasia Johnson, a girl from Grand Rapids, was shot inside a home on North Avenue NE late on Thursday, June 12, 2025. Officers arrived around 11:35 p.m. to find Myasia Johnson with a life-threatening gunshot wound; she was rushed to the hospital and died the following morning, Friday, June 13, 2025. The shooting unfolded in a house where multiple young people were gathered, according to police.
