In the quiet neighborhood of Homestead, Pennsylvania, a tragedy unfolded on the evening of March 13, 2016, forever altering the lives of two families. It was on this night that 15-year-old Taevon Harris, a male, was fatally shot in what authorities would later describe as a murder-suicide. The young man, who was remembered by his uncle as being full of energy and always joking, was in the backyard of his family's home on East 15th Avenue when the violence erupted.
