On the morning of Monday, June 19, 2017, a 27-year-old Black/African American male named Kenyon Childs was found lying in the street on the 1300 block of Bridge Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Philadelphia Police officers responded to the scene at approximately 11:00 a.m. and discovered that Childs had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his head and torso. Paramedics arrived and confirmed that he had succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
