In the Kingsessing neighborhood of Philadelphia, on the evening of January 26, 2024, a violent encounter believed to be an attempted robbery resulted in the death of 28-year-old Jaquon Warrington and left two others injured. The triple shooting occurred shortly before 7:30 p.m. on the 5600 block of Pentridge Street.
When police arrived at the scene, they found Jaquon Warrington unresponsive on a front porch, having sustained gunshot wounds to his face and neck.
He was immediately transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center but succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at approximately 7:34 p.m. A 55-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man were also victims of the shooting. The woman was shot in the arm and chest, while the man suffered wounds to his chest, groin, and arm. Both were hospitalized and listed in stable condition.
The investigation into the deadly shooting is ongoing, but as of late January 2024, no arrests had been made, and no weapons had been recovered. The Philadelphia Police Department's Homicide Unit is handling the case and has appealed to the public for any information that might lead to identifying a suspect. A reward of $20,000 has been offered for information that results in an arrest and conviction in this case.
