On a Wednesday afternoon in Philadelphia, the life of Walter L. Lyons III, a 27-year-old Black male, was cut short by gunfire. The fatal encounter took place on September 21, 2022, in the city's Germantown section. Just before 3 p.m., on the 500 block of East Queen Lane, a burst of violence left three men shot and a community shaken.
