On the night of Tuesday, December 12, 2017, Talik Kahlil Monsanto, a 21-year-old Black male, was fatally shot in Philadelphia. The incident occurred around 11:40 p.m. in the 200 block of West Westmoreland Street. Philadelphia Police officers responded to the scene and discovered Monsanto lying face down in the street with a gunshot wound. Paramedics arrived and pronounced him dead at the scene.
