Ammar Hassan, a 17-year-old Black male, was tragically shot and killed on August 14, 2019, in South Philadelphia. He was found lying on the sidewalk in the 2300 block of Bambrey Terrace, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Despite being rushed to Penn-Presbyterian Hospital, he was pronounced dead at 8:06 pm. At the time of his death, Ammar was in possession of 31 packets of heroin and $320, some of which was believed to be counterfeit.
