On the morning of March 15, 2021, a tragedy unfolded inside a food store on the 4000 block of Lancaster Avenue in Philadelphia, forever altering the lives of a local family. Clyde E. James Jr., a 31-year-old Black male, was inside the establishment when he was shot. The incident prompted a swift response from Philadelphia Police officers, who arrived at the scene at approximately 8:39 a.m. to find Mr. James in the rear of the store with life-threatening injuries.
