Duval DJ DeShields, a 14-year-old African American boy from Philadelphia, PA, tragically died on October 12, 2015, from a gunshot wound to the head. The incident occurred on the 1200 block of 10th Street in North Philadelphia. DeShields was transported to Hahnemann University Hospital but succumbed to his injuries the following day.
