In the Olney neighborhood of Philadelphia, on October 15, 2018, a 35-year-old Black man named Munir Jobes was shot and killed. The incident occurred at the intersection of 16th and Conlyn Streets just after 11:35 in the morning. According to his family, Jobes was acting as a peacemaker, attempting to intervene and mediate a dispute that had broken out among a group of young people.
