On a November evening in 2018, 15-year-old Trevonte Marks, a male student at the Charter High School for Architecture and Design, was fatally shot in his South Philadelphia neighborhood. The incident occurred on Thursday, November 8, at approximately 8:00 p.m. on the 1200 block of South 15th Street, just a block from his home. Trevonte was returning from playing basketball with friends when the shooting took place.
