According to police, at least three male suspects exited a vehicle and
opened fire, discharging a reported 41 rounds. Trevonte was struck multiple times. He was transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. Two other individuals, a 16-year-old male and a 20-year-old man, were also wounded in the attack but were expected to survive. His family believes he was not the intended target.
Described by his family as a family-oriented honor roll student who loved basketball and his siblings, Trevonte was known to be a supportive son and not a 'problem child.' He was the oldest of five children and often took on a helpful role at home.
