On a summer afternoon in Philadelphia, on Sunday, July 5, 2020, Abdul Lamar Davis, a 43-year-old Black male, was found shot to death. The incident occurred around 4:45 p.m. on the 2300 block of Croskey Street.
Responding Philadelphia Police officers discovered Mr. Davis lying on the ground behind a blue 2009 Chrysler Town and Country minivan. The vehicle was still running with the keys in the ignition and the passenger side sliding door was open.
He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was unresponsive. Medics from the Philadelphia Fire Department arrived at the scene and pronounced him dead.
As of now, the murder of Abdul Davis remains unsolved. Law enforcement officials have not publicly identified any suspects or made any arrests in connection with the shooting. The Philadelphia Police Department continues to request that anyone with information regarding the case come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.
