A second victim, a 35-year-old Black male, was also found at the scene and was transported to the same hospital in critical condition.

Department launched an investigation into Melanie Raye's murder, which remains unsolved. Police released photos of two suspects believed to be involved in the shooting. The first suspect is described as a Black male with a thin build and bushy haircut, wearing a white t-shirt and light blue pants at the time of the incident. The second suspect is described as a Black male with a medium build, wearing a black Chicago White Sox hat, black t-shirt, and black shorts over black compression pants. The City of Philadelphia has offered a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
Melanie Raye's family and friends have been vocal in their grief and their plea for justice. Her fiancé and daughter have publicly called for anyone with information to come forward, hoping to bring closure to this tragic case.
