Melanie Raye

Melanie Raye, a 40-year-old Black woman, tragically lost her life on August 20, 2020, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was fatally shot on the 1400 block of North Etting Street, suffering multiple gunshot wounds to her torso. Despite being rushed to Temple University Hospital, she succumbed to her injuries that evening. A second victim, a 35-year-old Black male, was also found at the scene and was transported to the same hospital in critical condition.
