On April 5, 2014, 11-year-old Jamara Stevens tragically lost her life in Philadelphia, PA. The incident occurred in the Mantua neighborhood, where Jamara and her siblings were playing with a loaded .357 caliber handgun that had been left in the home by their mother's boyfriend. The 2-year-old brother of Jamara accidentally fired the gun, striking Jamara in the arm and chest, leading to her death.
