Ojanae and her friend were sitting in a black BMW SUV when at least 16 shots were fired through the front windshield and driver door window by three suspects in a white sedan with black-rimmed tires. The 18-year-old male in the vehicle was also shot and later pronounced dead at the hospital. Ojanae was rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center but succumbed to her injuries on August 31, 2021.
