In the early morning darkness of July 18, 2025, 29-year-old Nkechi Sprowal was gunned down outside Deliverance Evangelistic Church at 20th Street and West Lehigh Avenue in North Philadelphia. The shooter fired numerous rounds, striking Nkechi Sprowal in the face and head around 1 a.m., leaving the 29-year-old woman against a fence as the block fell quiet.
