On the night of February 29, 2024, Philadelphia police responded to a distress call near the historic Mount Pleasant Mansion in Fairmount Park. Upon arrival, they discovered the lifeless bodies of 38-year-old Krystina A. Chambers and 49-year-old Thurston Cooper lying side by side in a roadside gully.
