In the afternoon hours of a Friday in West Philadelphia, a young mother's life was tragically cut short in an act of senseless violence. Twenty-four-year-old Sykea Patton was walking with her twin 4-year-old sons on November 19, 2021, when she was brutally gunned down. The shooting occurred just after 3 p.m. on the 800 block of North Preston Street. Patton was struck by multiple gunshots to her torso.
