Mildred Alston, an 83-year-old woman, was found dead on July 19, 1983, at the Kearsley Home, Christ Church Hospital, a nursing facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her death was initially suspected to be of natural causes, but further investigation revealed that she had been suffocated. Alongside her, another elderly woman, 90-year-old Eugenia Borda, was also discovered deceased.
