In the late evening of January 10, 2022, the quiet of the 6300 block of North Beechwood Street in Philadelphia was broken by an act of violence that claimed the life of 35-year-old Khalif Carr-Witherspoon. A Black male, Carr-Witherspoon was discovered inside a 2020 Nissan Altima at approximately 9:31 p.m. by responding Philadelphia Police officers. The vehicle's engine was still running, and his foot rested on the brake. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
