A Black male, Carr-Witherspoon was discovered inside a 2020 Nissan Altima at approximately 9:31 p.m. by responding Philadelphia Police officers. The vehicle's engine was still running, and his foot rested on the brake.
He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Paramedics arrived at the scene, but his injuries were too severe, and he was pronounced dead. The rear driver's side window of the car had been shot out, and investigators recovered numerous fired casings of different calibers from the scene, suggesting the intensity of the attack.
