On January 28, 2023, at approximately 9:20 a.m., Philadelphia Police responded to reports of a shooting on West Godfrey Avenue in the Olney neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers discovered 62-year-old Larry D. Scott with a gunshot wound to the head. He was immediately transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
