Zafir Mikal Covington, a 26-year-old Black male, was in Philadelphia on the evening of September 9, 2018, when his life was irrevocably altered. While on the 2200 block of South 69th Street, he was targeted in an attempted robbery. During the course of this crime, he was shot multiple times, sustaining grievous wounds to his chest, hip, and leg.
