Zafir Mikal Covington, a 26-year-old Black male, tragically lost his life on September 9, 2018, in Philadelphia, PA. He was shot multiple times during an attempted robbery on the 2200 block of South 69th Street. Zafir was found suffering from gunshot wounds to his chest, hip, and leg. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries three weeks later on September 30, 2018, which also happened to be his daughter's birthday.
