On September 24, 2022, at approximately 12:43 a.m., York City Police responded to a reported shooting in the 400 block of Wallace Street in York, Pennsylvania. Upon arrival, officers discovered 28-year-old Akwame J. Anderson, a Black male, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to York Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
