In the late hours of December 6, 2022, the life of 34-year-old Demetres Lewis was tragically cut short in York, Pennsylvania. Responding to a report of shots fired at approximately 11:50 p.m., York City Police arrived in the area of West Poplar Street and South Belvidere Avenue to find Lewis with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene just after midnight on December 7. The cause of death was later determined to be from the multiple gunshots he sustained.
