Skyteria Eva Nyasia Poston, a 16-year-old African American girl, tragically lost her life on November 9, 2021, in Shelby, North Carolina. Skyteria, affectionately known as "Eva," was sitting in a car in front of her home on Roberts Street when she was fatally shot. The incident occurred around 4 p.m., and her mother and two sisters were inside the house at the time. Upon hearing the gunfire, they hit the floor and one of them called 911.
