Vershawn Shang Davis Sr., a 40-year-old African American man from Columbus, Ohio, tragically passed away on November 25, 2014. Known affectionately as 'Braidss' to his friends and family, Davis Sr. was a certified welder and a loving father to his daughters, LaVaudia A. Davis and Shayanna Davis, and sons, Vershawn S. Davis Jr. and Luchene S. Davis. He was also engaged to his fiancée, Symphony Black, and had a close-knit family that included his mother, Shirley A. Payne, and several siblings.
