On May 18, 2008, Devon Rheubottom, an 18-year-old resident of Columbus, Ohio, was fatally shot. The incident occurred at the rear of 1290 East 18th Avenue, located in Franklin County. Devon was found with a gunshot wound to the chest, and he succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The Columbus Police Department began an investigation, but the case remains unsolved with no suspects identified. Devon's death is currently listed as an unsolved homicide by the Ohio Attorney General's Office.
