Herbert Earley III, a 54-year-old Black male, tragically lost his life on May 5, 2021, in Columbus, Ohio. The incident occurred at approximately 6:26 a.m. when Herbert and another individual were sitting in a silver vehicle at a Sunoco Gas Station located at 1799 E. Hudson St. A black SUV pulled into the lot and began firing into their vehicle before driving off.
Herbert was rushed to Grant Hospital but was pronounced dead at 7:03 a.m.
The investigation into Herbert's death is ongoing, and the Columbus Police Department has yet to identify any suspects. The case remains unsolved, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
