On April 23, 2012, Jamarco Mitchell, a 21-year-old resident of Columbus, Ohio, was fatally shot in what appears to be a targeted incident. The shooting occurred in the early hours of the day, and the Columbus Police Department responded promptly to the scene. Despite their efforts, Mitchell was pronounced dead upon their arrival.
